Does a calorie diet work? Although the Jenny Craig weight loss system has been around sine the 1980s, it has recently skyrocketed back into the public eye, due to the celebrity spokesperson, Kirstie Alley. Alley lost almost 100 pounds using this diet, but then she yo-yoed back. Keep in mind though with any calorie diet there is the propensity to regain your weight. Look at Kirstie Alley for example. She used a calorie diet to lose weight, but the weight came back on again. A calorie diet is not always the perfect solution.
The Jenny Craig diet and weight loss program is centered on the ideas that if you have a more healthy relationship with food, you can control your eating habits and have a more active life. The key to Jenny Craig is learning about good nutrition choices and portion control. According to the program, the diets used with Jenny Craig are set according to standards set up by the United States government and dietitians from around the world.
When you’re on the Jenny Craig diet, you’ll pay for Jenny Craig’s special foods. Each participant gets a set of pre-packed single servings that can be microwaved or quickly made in a traditional open. These servings include both meals and snacks. You will also receive guidelines on other foods to purchase to supplement your diet, including fresh fruits and vegetables and low-fat milk. The program is set up for your to eat these foods until you meet most of your weight loss goal; then, you may again begin introducing regular foods into your life once again. After four more weeks, you’ll be able to completely control your own diet.
The Jenny Craig weight loss program doesn’t tell you to give up the foods you love—it just tells you to eat everything in moderation and relative to how good t is for you. This program also advocates exercise and participants are encouraged to hit the gym at last five days a week and to be more active whenever possible.
Jenny Craig doesn’t work for everyone, Kirstie Alley [at least in the short term], found success. The program costs $30-65 a month plus food costs, depending on how much weight you want to lose. Talk to a doctor before starting any new weight loss program, as always. The key is whether a calorie diet is the correct solution. Instead of a calorie diet wouldn’t it be better to balance your body through nutrition.
The goal to lose weight can be achieved without a calorie diet. To learn more about how you can lose pounds in days go to http://www.nutritionalrebalancing.com. User Name – craigwakefield. Request your password at [email protected].

Thanks a lot for posting this question man. I am 14, I am a little fat, and realy lazy. Bad habbits have really cuaght up to me. I was really starting to get ad at myself about it. So I have been searching for opinions and ways to lose weight, get toned, get ripped, whatever really. Thanks for the answer as well. I hope you feel good, and I hope you have a happy lifestyle. I know I will now.
Ok I have been on the product for about a month and just cancelled my order because it does not work as well as they claim. I did lose some weight but not enough to really make it worth the amount of money it costs. Was able to cancel right away without problem but they do not have very good customer service. I worked in customer service for years and I think they just hire anyone to answer there phones.
As you can see, flexibility training is one of the key components of a balanced fitness program and should be a part of your exercise routine. Without flexibility training, you are missing an important part of overall health. Flexibility training provides many important benefits that cannot be achieved by any other exercise or activity. Good luck: I hope you enjoy all the wonderful benefits of an effective flexibility training program.
I can relate to many of the comments on here. I have struggled with my weight since I was about 5 years old, always being heavier than the kids in my classes. In 5th grade, I weighed over 180lbs and in 8th and 9th grade I was able to lose about 30. Then it just kept going up and down. I currently weigh around 220 and I’m 5’8″. This is the heaviest I have ever been in my life, and I am beyond depressed. I have tried so many diet and exercise plans. The most recent one, eating salads, whole wheat foods, chicken breasts, fish, unsweetened applesauce, yogurt, and other healthy foods, averaging 1300 calories a day, walking about 30 minutes each day and lifting weights 3-4 times a week, along with workout videos 3-4 times a week, I gained 10 lbs. Go figure. I’m so depressed. It’s like the harder I work, the worse it is. I’ve had my thyroid checked and it’s fine, but my doctors can’t figure out what is wrong with me. I’m losing hope. Any suggestions as to what I might do?
Although I prefer to be busy, I really don’t enjoy exercising at the gym. I find it so boring. I’m going to buy a pedometer and walk my feet off! My problem area is my trunk. Under the bust to the top of my thighs. My arms and legs are ok. At 55 I don’t expect to look much different but I’ll give it a go. Good luck to everyone who is trying to tone up or lose weight!
Consistency was my problem. I can relate to life getting in the way. I was not consistent with gym memberships or home gym equipment. What works for me are home workout videos. My tip? Find an activity that you enjoy, so you will stay consistent.
Hi Marie, your inability to lose weight can be due to many different factors. And yes your age can be a factor as well as your eating patterns and your patterns for exercise.
Yeah!! I eat because I am bored. It has nothing to do with being hungry. I also eat because it taste so good to me. It is all about the flavor. I think I will try it only because I am already eating better and less, This my take it up a noch.
I mastered more a new challenge on this fat loss issue. Just one issue is that good nutrition is tremendously vital when dieting. A big reduction in bad foods, sugary ingredients, fried foods, sugary foods, red meat, and whitened flour products could be necessary. Possessing wastes parasites, and toxins may prevent targets for losing fat. While specific drugs temporarily solve the problem, the terrible side effects usually are not worth it, and so they never present more than a short lived solution. This can be a known idea that 95% of fad diets fail. Many thanks for sharing your opinions on this blog site.
Great post here buddy. I did find Dr. Simeons had some good points he shared when he picked 98 people for his weightloss experiment back in the early 1950’s. Crazy they were all able to shed off loads of weight in less than 40 days. Look up his name and find out more or click on my name. Have a great evening myfriend.
