Some people are looking for the quickest way to lose weight. For people consumed with losing weight, surgery may seem like an easy option. Gastric bypass surgery has helped a number of people and has come to light in recent years due to a number of celebrities receiving this procedure. Although a gastric bypass surgery may seem like an easy way to shed unwanted pounds and the quickest way to lose weight, it is actually a very serious weight loss method and is not for most people. You should only consider gastric bypass surgery if you are very significantly overweight and need to lose the weight for medical reasons rather than for cosmetic reasons. Often the quickest way to lose weight is not the easy way.
Gastric bypass, which is also known as stapling one’s stomach, works by decreasing the amount of food that can be held in the stomach. You lose weight because the food bypasses a part of the small intestine and decreases stomach size, which means that you physically can’t eat as much without vomiting. You also don’t absorb calories as readily, allowing these foods to leave the body naturally instead.
Before you choose gastric bypass surgery, you should consider all other options. First, try losing weight on your own using diet and exercise. This requires lots of will power, but is much easier and safer than gastric bypass surgery. You can also talk to your doctor about medications that could possible help you lose weight and alternative therapy techniques, like acupuncture and hypnosis.
If you and your doctor do decide that gastric bypass surgery s right for you, start by losing some weight on your own. The more weigh you can lose through diet and exercise, the easier the surgery will be on your body. You should follow all of your doctor’s recommendations at this point to ready yourself for surgery.
After the surgery, you will also need to continue diet control and exercise, complete physical therapy, and take any prescriptions your doctor tells you to take. The work you do after the surgery will help you to lose the weight you want to lose, and this work is not easy.
Gastric bypass surgery simply isn’t for everyone. Statistics show that as many as 10% of the people receiving gastric bypass surgery have medical complications, and even though these risks are decreasing with new technology, this is still a danger. Side effects could include infection, hernia, ulcers, blood clots, complications during the surgery, and even death. Make sure this is what you really need before you decide to go through with any type of procedure to help you lose weight. The quickest way to lose weight does not necessarily mean it is the best way to lose weight. There are quick ways to lose weight without the potential harmful side effect of surgery. I know. Walking to lose weight
@Laura It’s 2 tbsp. lemon, 2 tbsp. syrup & a tenth of a tsp pepper to 10 oz. water for one serving. For 2 liters worth it would be 7 tbsp. lemon, 7 tbsp. syrup & a fourth of a tbsp. pepper and 2 liters water.
Way too many adjustments in regular person lifestyle. The diet they should come up is the one that fits to every day life. For people that are going to regular grocery store, that cook 30 min meals and for people that will have an ice cream from time to time. I don’t think that this diet is good for people that work out on regular basis. Where are the carbs? We need energy and the carbs supply that. Meat is good, but pasta and the other starchy food is good in moderate quantity. Calorie counting (making sure that intake is less then usage) and excersize 3-4 times a week is probably only long term weight loss program. If a person is struggling with weight most of their life, they will have to change their eating and activity habits long term. .
Mateo, You did not say how old you are….how old are you? Also so remember muscle helps burns fat. So lift hard…..Also how long have you been lifting? It sounds like you are a hard gainer all these things play a part. Big mistake is over training you need to let you body recover to GROW.
Let me first say that the benefit of the fast is to cleanse the body of toxins, and unclogged vital systems. We can see how medical professional would be against this fast, as it would put a lot of them out of business.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
This is a great program, but the author ripped off Michael Geary’s “The Truth About Abs†program! I have both Ebooks and they are exactly the same, both advocate weight training, eating whole foods and drinking lots of water. They are both full of good information on how the body metabolizes fats and utilizes the food we eat, and both cost the same price. Either would be a useful tool for anyone who doesn’t understand what happens to their body when they consume fast food, processed supermarket food, artificial sweeteners, and sugars, and who don’t know the science of eating more whole, living foods than animal protein and moving more to contribute to a healthy body. Most of this information can be found free on the internet.
Water is the by far better. I wish you luck, eat less than 60 grams of carbs per meal and exerside 4 x 30 minutes per week. Heart rate increase 25% from resting rate.
The guy I really liked was mymcdiet guy who lost like 75 pounds eating McDonalds. He did it in 3 months not two years like this drive thru. Jared did it walking and so did the mymcdiet.com guy. Walking or exercise is the key.
I gained about 30 lbs. when I was pregnant I lost 20lbs but I just can’t get rid of da other 10. I was drinking up to 6 cups of decaf lipton green tea for about 3 weeks but I didn’t see any results. I didn’t drink the tea for about a month and gained weight so I guess the tea was helping me maintain my weight. I just started dinking the tea again and I’m really hoping to loose all the weight I need to. I would like to know if the decaf tea has the same effects as the one with caffeine? and how many cups of tea should I drink a day so I can lose weight?
I believe that avoiding processed foods will be the first step to help lose weight. They can taste very good, but refined foods contain very little vitamins and minerals, making you feed on more only to have enough electricity to get with the day. If you are constantly eating these foods, changing to grain and other complex carbohydrates will assist you to have more vigor while consuming less. Thanks alot : ) for your blog post.
