Hi Laura I have just found this post and in essence could not agree more. However for a small group of people the procedure is literally life saving and provided a really detailed counselling has taken place, the procedure certainly has a place. BUT as a last ditch procedure after all other avenues are exhausted, and lots and lots of discussion on the psychological aspects of life threatening obesity.
I would encourage you to keep on going with your healthy diet. Yes, it can be very frustrating! Please don’t give up yet. I believe you will see the bathroom scale budge if you stick with a healthy portion-controlled diet.
Hi, I’m 19 years old. In three months I’ll be twenty. I weigh about 225. It’s horrible, in the last year and five months, I have gained about sixty five pounds. I’m 5’5 I used to be OK with 150 pounds. In High school I was in Varsity Cheer and was very active. Then I graduated and all activity stopped. I got a job at an office sitting for 8 hours. I work every day 12:30 to 9pm and in the morning I go to school. My drive home from work is about forty minutes. By the time I get home, it’s late and I have tons of homework to do. I get little sleep and it’s totally different then what my life was when I was in high school. Gaining sixty five pounds, in a little over a year, has been horrible. I don’t look like I did. It’s not me. I don’t know how much longer I can take this. I need help; my body is deforming, and I no longer feel good in any cloths. Please help.

Hi i’m tryin to lose about 30 pounds and i just started drinking green tea at work i drink about 3-5 cups a day but i do add jus a lil bit of sweetner in every cup,is that bad? I can drink the tea alone if i have to but jus need a lil flavoring. My other question is i was going to start taking “green tea fat burner” pills but if i do should i still drink the 3-5 cups of green tea? Please give me some advice on this. Thanks.

My doctor recommended it for my son. He is autistic and ADHD. I already removed dairy with the biggest results and he said that by removing dairy, I greatly reduced his hyper-activity. I am trying the gluten free diet now to try to avoid medication. My son drinks soy milk now. But getting rid of dairy was the biggest thing that changed his life! Try that too.
